Israel’s Agency for International Development (MASHAV) offers short courses (in English and a number of other languages) that target professionals from governmental and non-governmental institutions, universities, research institutes and/or private sector involved in agricultural development in arid and semi-arid regions. A limited number of scholarships are available. The scholarship covers the cost of the training program including lectures and field visits, full board accommodation in double rooms, health insurance (certain restrictions apply) and transfers to and from the airport. Airfares and daily allowance are not included in the scholarship.
This course will focus on profitable agriculture, based on efficient water management and the implementation of irrigation and fertigation systems adapted to the different crops. The course will also serve as a platform for discussing the application of the latest methods and technologies in the unique conditions of each participating country.
