Editorial schemes help polish developing country science papers
Free editing services are available for developing country researchers who are trying to publish their work.
One service, SciEdit, is run by a team of undergraduate and postgraduate students from leading academic institutions in Canada, Europe and the United States. They aim to provide detailed editorial feedback in accordance with the standards of international journals. They offer support in terms of grammar, conventions, style, but also - if wanted - feedback on the science.
Another service is AuthorAID, run by the International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications (INASP). The editors are higher-level scientists. It is a global research community that helps researchers in developing countries to publish and otherwise communicate their work. It also serves as a wider global forum to discuss and disseminate research.
